Looking Up, Newcastle
September 18, 2023
Me, sometime during the years that changed everything.
I started as a psychology student. I ended up a computer scientist. The shift wasn't sudden — it was a slow realisation that the questions I kept asking about human behaviour had answers I wanted to build, not just study. After graduating in 2020, I taught myself to code, worked as a software engineer for two years, and then came to Newcastle to formalise it all with a master's degree in Computer Science.
This photo was taken on campus, in the Newcastle University jacket I wore almost every day. I'm not looking at the camera. I'm not sure what I was looking at — but it feels right that I wasn't looking back.
